Britvic plc

Ireland

Britvic Ireland, formerly C & C Soft Drinks, is the number one soft drinks company by volume with market leading brands including Ballygowan, 7Up, Club, MiWadi and Robinsons. Britivc Ireland has a strong presence in both the take-home and licensed on-premise channels, as well as operating a licensed wholesale business that supplies third-party alcoholic and non-alcoholic brands to the trade as well as our own brands.

Britvic acquired the business in August 2007 and this represents our first acquisition since flotation in November 2005. Since acquiring the business we have embarked on an investment and organisational design programme to create a business that is able to fulfill its potential and maximise returns to shareholders. In January 2009 we were able to announce upgraded synergy benefits of €27m from 2011, driven by:

  1. The implementation of SAP
  2. Investment in our production facilities in Dublin and Newcastle West
  3. The centralisation of the distribution network
  4. The enablement of a group structure
  5. An organisational re-design that saw a 15% reduction in headcount
